PTO Gift Card Raffle Fundraiser
We appreciate your support in helping the PTO raise funds to support our school. Because of your continued support, we have been able to host events such as the Back to School night, Grandparents Day, Annual Water/Field Day, etc. In recent years, we have been able to fund projects to upgrade our playground (swings, gaga pits, playground landscaping, etc.).
In the fall, we raised funds for an outdoor shaded structure for our playground. We hope to generate the remaining funds needed to complete this project with this Gift Card Raffle Fundraiser.
How can you participate?
• Sell raffle tickets to friends, neighbors, or family members.
• Write the names and phone numbers on the sheet. They can indicate if they want to be in the drawing for a specific basket by writing in the Basket number or leaving it blank to qualify for any basket.
• Tickets are $1 each.
• Each time your child submits a sheet of tickets with money, they earn a small prize.
• We also accept donations.
Thank you to all the local business who donated gift cards to make this fundraiser successful. We appreciate their support!
Incentives?
• For each sheet of tickets with money submitted, they get a small prize.
• Highest Earning Class per grade earns a popcorn snack party.
• Winning ticket sellers receive a small prize.

Grandparents & Grandfriends Day
Thursday, November 17th
Dear Parents,
Grandparents and other older adults can be very important people in children’s lives. Children feel a sense of pride and accomplishment when they know that people in their extended family and community are interested in their education. So, we are having a special celebration!
We’re inviting the grandparents of our students to an event on Thursday, November 17th. This event is intended for students and their grandparents or a special “grandfriend.” We understand that all children don’t have grandparents and that some grandparents will be unable to attend. We encourage these children to invite another special friend - - like a relative, an aunt/uncle or any special friend. Woodland Heights will also have volunteer “grandfriends” here. Some children are also happy to share their grandparents with a classmate. Sorry but our space is limited, so parents and siblings cannot attend this event with their student’s guests. A parent can however attend if they are the student’s “grandfriend” for the day.
Kindergarten through Fourth Grade students will spend time with their guest in the classroom. Refreshments will be served. After classroom time, children are welcome to visit our annual book fair with their special guest.
We welcome all of our guests to spend some time with your children this day!
The schedule for each grade is listed below:
K - 11:45-12:30
1st - 10:05-10:50
2nd - 9:15-10:00
3rd - 8:25-9:10
4th - 10:55-11:40
-
JSE: There are several volunteer slots left for our Grandparents Day on Thursday. We rely on volunteers to make this event run as smoothy as possible for our students' guest. Please consider signing up to help volunteer. Thank you for all you do for Jim Stone and our kids!
