Welcome to Conway Orchestra

  • The Conway Public Schools Orchestra Program is one of only fifteen public school string programs in the state of Arkansas. Serving approximately 300 students in grades six through twelve across six campuses, the responsibility of directing the program is shared by three full-time staff. Our ensembles regularly earn high honors at adjudicated performances, and our students consistently place in the All-Region and All-State Orchestras, the most competitive string groups in the state. Additionally, many of our graduating seniors receive scholarships to continue their musical studies in college.

Why Join Orchestra?

  • We're so glad you've chosen to join the Conway Orchestra! Learning to play a string instrument is one of the best decisions you can make. There's so much more to playing violin, viola, cello, or bass than just concerts. Being involved in the orchestra program opens up a world of opportunities for you: making new friends, having fun, exploring creativity, going on trips, playing at competitions, and being a part of a team. Orchestra teaches self-discipline, perseverance, the value of preparation, and the pride of accomplishment- all important life lessons for a successful future.
