Dear Jim Stone Family,

An affirmation is a positive statement that can help to challenge and overcome negative thoughts.  When you repeat encouraging statements often and believe them, you can start to make positive changes.  When healthy self-esteem grows, kids are more confident, work harder, and are more successful.  

We affirm our students daily at school, but we know that you will always be the most important people in their lives.  So it is MOST important that they hear encouragement from you.  We have written this affirmation so that you have a script to follow, and you will notice our yard signs at both of our entrances and our marquee that focus on one affirmation per month.  You simply read the sign and your child responds.

Querida familia de Jim Stone:

Una afirmación es una declaración positiva que puede ayudar a desafiar y superar los pensamientos negativos. Cuando repite declaraciones alentadoras a menudo y las cree, puede comenzar a hacer cambios positivos. Cuando la autoestima sana crece, los niños tienen más confianza, trabajan más y tienen más éxito.

Planeamos afirmar a nuestros estudiantes en la escuela, pero sabemos que siempre serán las personas más importantes en sus vidas. Por lo tanto, es MÁS importante que escuchen su aliento. Hemos escrito esta afirmación para que tenga un guión a seguir.

Tenemos un "Muro de Fama de Afirmación" esperando su foto dentro de la cafetería. Todo lo que tiene que hacer es publicar un video de su familia diciendo la afirmación con el hashtag #stallionstrong, o enviar una foto.
