Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-2024 school year will begin in April. Please check back and subscribe to our social media for the announcement of specific dates. If you need to register a Kindergartener for 2022-2023 please click here.
Steps for 2023-24 Kindergarten Registration*
*All three steps must be completed prior to your child starting school.
- Determine which elementary school your child will attend using our Zone Finder and Address Search. Please register with your current address EVEN IF YOU MAY MOVE OVER THE SUMMER.
- Complete the online registration in the Powerschool Family Portal. (Spanish Powerschool Family Portal)
- You will receive a phone call or email from your child's school with information about finalizing your registration.

Important Information: Please read before completing Powerschool Online Registration

If you already have a Powerschool Enrollment Account use your existing credentials. If you have forgotten your password, click on the "Forgot Password" link. There can only be one account per household.

If you do NOT already have a Powerschool Enrollment Account, you will click on the "Create Account" button on the right side of the page.

After logging into your account, you will complete all the required sections for registration, then upload the required documents. A list of required documents can be found here. Bring any documents you were unable to upload to your appointment.

When you have completed all areas and ensure you "Submit" your student's registration.

When asked for Home/Primary Phone Number, please enter the guardian’s primary phone number. This is the phone number the district/school will use for parent communication.
- Only 1 parent needs to attend the appointment. (Your child does not need to attend.)

What is the age/date cutoff for a child to go to Kindergarten this year?
Your child must be 5 years old on or before August 1st of the current year in order to start Kindergarten that school year.

What elementary school will my child attend?
Conway Public Schools has nine elementary schools in our district. School assignments are made according to the school zone where you live. Please visit our school zone finder/address search to determine or confirm your correct school zone.

When is Kindergarten Registration?
Kindergarten Registration opens online on Monday, May 3rd. Parents may go to our website to access the online registration portal and fill out the registration "paperwork."
Remember- students must be 5 years old on or before August 1, 2021 in order to attend Kindergarten this school year.
Once your online registration is completed, appointments will be scheduled at each school.

How do I register my child for Kindergarten?
To register your child for Kindergarten in Conway Public Schools, please go to our website- to the Kindergarten Registration Page- and complete our online registration, then you will complete the registration process with an appointment at your child's elementary school.

Can I access the online registration portal on my phone?
Yes. Conway Public Schools now uses "Powerschool" as our Registration Software provider. Powerschool offers a mobile-friendly platform for parents who prefer to use their phones to complete the online registration.

What should I do after I complete my online registration?
After clicking "submit" to complete your online registration, you may print a copy for your records, if you choose.
Then, click "save and sign out" of the online registration portal.
You should receive a confirmation email stating your online registration is complete.
When your registration is received by the school, someone will contact you by phone or email to schedule an appointment to finalize your registration.

What documents do I need to bring to the school?
You will finalize your child's registration by bringing the necessary documents to the school at your scheduled registration appointment.
Documents may be scanned into the online portal ahead of time if you prefer.
Documents needed for Kindergarten Registration:
- Official Birth Certificate
- Social Security Number
- Completed Immunization Record
- Medicaid ID Card (If student is Medicaid eligible)
- Health Screening (Well Child Checkup)
- Two Proofs of Residence in the school zone (A current utility bill is easiest, but more examples of acceptable proofs of residence can be found here)

What should I do if I haven't heard from the school after completing my registration?
Once your online registration has been successfully submitted, your child's school will contact you to schedule your registration appointment. You will receive either a phone call or an email at the phone number/email address you provided on the registration.
If your school does not contact you promptly, please log back in and make sure everything is completed and submitted correctly.
If you have not heard from the school within 5 business days of completing the registration, please email registrationhelp@conwayschools.net with your name and your child's name and someone will reach out to you.

How do I make a registration appointment?
Once you have completed the online "paperwork" in the registration portal, your child's school will contact you to schedule your registration appointment. You should receive a phone call or an email at the phone number/email address you provided on the registration.
If you have not heard from the school in 5 business days, please email registrationhelp@conwayschools.net with your name and your child's name and someone will reach out to you.

What if I am planning to move over the summer?
PLEASE GO AHEAD AND REGISTER YOUR CHILD NOW- even if you plan on moving or think you might move to a different address or school zone over the summer.
Register with your current address and information and then if/when you relocate, simply bring a new proof of residence to the new/correct school zone. Your registration can be switched over to the new school and you will be ready to go!

Where can I find more information about CPSD or my school?
Visit conwayschools.org to see district information and also have access to the individual websites for each of our 16 schools. (Click the "schools" dropdown arrow in the top right.) You can download our Conway Schools Mobile App in the app store or on Google Play to receive notifications, see the district/school calendar, lunch menus, and more. Each school also has a Facebook page where they post announcements and feature student events.
